VBS Thanks

Over 70 kids joined a huge team of funologists for this year’s vacation bible school: Power Lab: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power. The ooey-gooey slime in crafts, giant bubbles in science, terrific songs and concluding splash party kept smiles on children’s faces. Thanks to the many volunteers that made this possible.

Astronomy Camp

Saturday, July 26, 2008 • 9 am – 2 pm

Blast off to a fun filled day of activities, fellowship, and exploration! Come learn about all the wonderful things God has made for us in our solar system, our galaxy, our universe. We’ll discover what makes day and night, a year and the seasons. Can you make a solar system that fits in your pocket? How do we know so much about all the planets, asteroids, and space dust in our galaxy? And how many planets are there anyway? Find out the answers to all these questions and more. All kids, ages 5 to 11, are welcome.

# 8. Your mom never let you play with the COOL toys in your younger days

# 7. You’ve been dying to try out the Mentos/Diet Coke experiment

# 6. Did somebody say bubble machine?

# 5. You can donate those scary Tupperware containers from the back of fridge for Science Experiment decorations

# 4. The only time you want to hear the words DNA and lots of kids at the same time

# 3. You saw Steve Spangler on Ellen and couldn’t get tickets so you thought this was a great chance to do the experiments!

# 2. Where else can you throw around the word flask in church and not get surrounded by a prayer group?

#1. All kidding aside —- to share the love of Jesus with children in hopes that they take it out into their community
